Sarah Wise to Receive a CSS Doctorate Degree

After a successful defense of her doctoral dissertation entitled “Using Social Media Content to Inform Agent-based Models for Humanitarian Crisis Response,” Sarah Wise will be awarded a Doctorate degree from the Department of Computational Social Science on May 17, 2014.

Her dissertation committee was comprised of Asst. Professor Andrew Crooks (Committee Chair & Advisor, Department of Computational Social Science, George Mason University), Professor Robert Axtell (Department of Computational Social Science, George Mason University), Professor Anthony Stefanidis (Acting Chair, Geography and Geoinformation Science, George Mason University), Asst. Professor Arie Croitoru (Geography and Geoinformation Science, George Mason University) and Asst. Professor William Rand (Director, Center for Complexity in Business, University of Maryland).
